Welcome to a multi-part series designed to get you started fishing.   If you are new to the pastime, hopefully this will give you some insights on how to begin.  If you already go fishing, possibly something will be offered here to help you become better at catching fish!

LEARNING TO FISH:  PART 2.  SEASONAL PATTERNS OF FISH – SUMMER AND FALL

AHHH, Summer.  Reliable weather at last.  Where did the fish go?  Well, no matter how many you caught this spring, there are still some left.

Every body of water is different.  Yet, all of them are water, and fish like to be wet. Now that you know what the seasonal patterns of the fish are, you have some knowledge as to where the fish might be, and why.  Knowing what any given body of water has to offer is step two in learning how to fish it. 

Part 4.  HOW TO APPROACH YOUR FISHING SPOT – MAKING A PLAN 

Ok, so we know the seasonal pattern the fish are in right now.  We know what our lake / river has to offer.  Let’s put these together and make a plan.

 PART 5- HOW TO CHOOSE WHAT TO THROW: 

Boy, there’s sure lots of tackle to choose form out there.  Lord knows we sell a wide variety of shapes, styles and colors here at Pico.  So how in the world are you supposed to figure that part out?
